HÖRMANN offers more than just sirens!

Sirens

We offer a wide range of siren systems and related terminal devices that can either be operated as stand-alone systems or within larger complex early warning networks.

ECN - Electronic Siren

The ECN electronic siren is a high-performance siren used in many warning systems in Germany and around the world. These sirens are available in various audibility ranges, assuring that HÖRMANN GmbH can provide its customers with the siren solutions that have the size and coverage that best suits their needs, without any restrictions on technology or functionality.

ECI - Electronic Compact Siren

The ECI electronic compact siren was developed by HÖRMANN GmbH to replace the outdated motor siren E57. The major advantage of this electronic siren over the motor siren is its integrated battery system that assures full operation during power outages (e.g. in the event of a flood).

The ECI siren is a high-quality, cost-effective alternative for replacing outdated motor sirens and/or when a siren system without complex monitoring options is required.

RTU – Remote Terminal Unit – Intelligent Remote Receiver / Transmitter

The Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) has been designed to enable seamless integration of existing end terminals and to control and monitor both sensors and triggers. In addition, digital I/O and serial interfaces allow for the control and integration of third-party devices.

Furthermore, the RTU offers the same flexibility to connect to siren networks as do the ECN sirens.

Functions

  • Remote activation via radio // wire // GSM
  • Control of terminal devices over serial protocol (adaptation of manufacturer-specific protocols is possible)
  • Terminal device control via digital I/O
  • Parameterisable alert signal timer for relay-controlled sirens (e.g. motor sirens)
  • Voice announcements – pre-recorded text messages and/or live voice messages (if supported by terminal device)
  • Integrated, fully-automatic self-testing capability – BITE (Built-In Test Equipment)
